Who we are
Elden Rosenthal & Mike Greene formed their law firm in 1980, eight years after they graduated from Stanford Law School. They believed that good friends committed to social justice could help individuals successfully stand up to insurance companies, corporations, and government wrongdoers. They are proud that over the past 30 years their firm has become one of the most honored and successful small law firms in Oregon. They are listed in Best Lawyers in America and have received the highest Peer Review Rating (AV) awarded by Martindale-Hubbell, the nation's first and most prestigious lawyer peer rating firm.
John Devlin joined the firm as an associate in 2006. John is a graduate of the University of Chicago Law School, worked for two federal judges as a law clerk, and successfully prosecuted criminal cases in Portland before joining our firm. John became a partner in the firm in 2010. John shares our firm's commitment to social justice, and because of his background is well-prepared to represent our clients in the courtrooms of Oregon.
What we do
We represent individuals in a wide variety of cases, including personal injury, traffic accidents, wrongful death, legal and medical malpractice, civil rights, products liability, and sexual misconduct. We take care in selecting our cases because we do the best job for our clients if we believe in their case.
We strongly believe that it is important to give back to the community and to the legal profession. We have been honored numerous times for our work on behalf of civic and legal organizations like the American Diabetes Association, the ACLU of Oregon, the Oregon State Bar and the Multnomah Bar Association. We routinely serve on committees and participate in other groups designed to strengthen the competence and integrity of our profession.
To provide the most personalized service possible, our firm approaches each case in a comprehensive fashion. While one attorney may be a client's primary contact with the firm, each is acquainted with the cases in the office. On more demanding cases, we pool our experience and talent to work as a team. In addition, our staff includes legal assistants with extensive experience. We work hard to make sure that our firm provides a supportive, informal, yet professional environment in which to handle our clients' cases.
We believe that through our work we make a difference in the lives of our clients. We also believe that our efforts on behalf of our clients help make Oregon a better and safer place to live.
