About the Firm

We formed our law firm in 1980, eight years after we graduated from Stanford Law School. We believed that good friends committed to social justice could help individuals successfully stand up to insurance companies, corporations, and government wrongdoers.

We are proud that our firm has become one of the most honored and successful small law firms in Oregon. Mike and Elden are listed in Best Lawyers in America and have received the highest Peer Review Rating (AV) awarded by Martindale-Hubbell, the nation's first and most prestigious lawyer peer rating firm. John Devlin joined our firm in 2006. John is a graduate of the University of Chicago Law School, worked for two federal judges as a law clerk, and successfully prosecuted criminal cases in Portland before joining our firm. More
